Description
7 "Jeanne d'Arc" dessert plates from the end of the 19th century in GIEN earthenware
A very original series to collect, to display on the wall or to use to highlight a nice piece of tart
Originally a series of 12 plates, they are all numbered
A ribbed, gradient white, sky blue, navy blue & yellow, orange to red: - N°1 Joan guarding her flock, - N°2 Joan in ecstasy in front of St Michel, Ste Marguerite and Ste Catherine, - N°3 Joan will find the Chevalier de Beaudricourt, Governor of Vaucouleurs, - N°4 Joan predicts to Charles VII that she will have him crowned in Reims, - N°5 Joan makes her entrance in Orleans, - N°8 Joan cuts the English army in pieces at the battle of Patay in Beauce, - N°12 Joan burns to death alive in Rouen 1431.

Series with many wears but which remains fun and charming, we advise against using N°2, the others are usable.
