Description
Military identity plate worn by all soldiers in the French army during WWII.
Inscription with the name of the soldier Georges Lebrun, his number and his unit of incorporation.
The plate is divided into 2 parts with the same inscriptions, separated by a "dotted line". When the soldier died on a battlefield, for example, the plate was broken in two, and the detached part was sent back to the Staff who could thus officialize his death.
