CHIPPENDALE style flap desk in light wood.
4 Legs slightly out of date in the form of claw feet holding a round ball.
Interior of the desk with 8 vertical compartments, 1 drawer and 1 long horizontal compartment.
The top drawer is not as wide as the bottom drawer and has a tray on the sides to hold the desk when opened.
Practical as it is not too bulky but has plenty of storage space, a solid and comfortable desk (perhaps a little small for working with a computer) and an English design that is a little rarer for an original decoration.
Without key. A handle is missing and the metal desk opener needs to be re-attached correctly but is solid even without it as it sits on the wooden buttresses underneath.
Some wear and tear, stains and small missing veneers but a nice desk in very good condition!
