Bertil Vallien (1938 - ) is a designer and sculptor born in Sollentuna, north of Stockholm. He studied ceramics at the Stockholm University of Art and Design and later attended the School for Advanced Industrial Design. He moved to Konstfack and devoted himself fully to ceramics, then joined HAL Fromholt Ceramics in Los Angeles, before moving back to Sweden to work for Kosta Boda glassworks in Afors.
