Represents Mistinguette, a French singer who was very popular in the Roaring Twenties
Charles Gesmar (1900 - 1928) began at 16 years old to design the posters and costumes for the music hall of Mistinguett (1875-1956), who remains one of the most famous queen of the music hall today. She was then 41 years old and already famous. A considerable part of her success in the 1920s and the fame she still has today in the world is due to Charles Gesmar.
